I created a new Pilot user in MachNumber and while she shows in the drop-downs all over the program just fine, I need to get her set up to log in so she can get her charter sheets. How do I do that? (1-3-06)
We deliberately made program access a two-step process in MachNumber to insure you didn't inadvertently provide someone access to your trip data. We wanted it to be deliberate. To amend a Pilot's privileges for logon, select "Users..." and then Pilots. Find the pilot in the list and then select the "EDIT" hyperlink at the far right:
From the pop-up change the "Logon
Access Indicator" to yes and put in a password: NOTE: MachNumber generates the logon ID automatically. Save your changes and your pilot will be able to get right in.
I can log in OK but when I click on the menus across the top nothing happens. I know I'm supposed to get drop-down menu items, what can I do to fix this? (1-3-06)
MachNumber relies on JavaScript for functionality within your web page (a.k.a. client-side). The flavor of JS that comes with Microsoft's Internet Explorer usually works well. In case your menus are not responding or slow, try installing the Java gold standard at www.sun.com (free). To date this has cured every instance of malfunctioning menus we have been made aware of.
My password doesn't work. What can I do? (12-15-06) MachNumber passwords are case-sensitive. Check your confirmation email and insure your password was entered with the proper capitalized letters, numbers and other characters. Email support@avrecords.com if you need a password reset.
I just subscribed and I need to quote a trip. I can see the "starter" customer and sample airplane but I need to price a trip using our data. (12-13-06)
Easy stuff -- go to "Admin..."
and click on "Aircraft (Active)" to add your aircraft.
To add customers, MachNumber now
gives you two ways to proceed. Either select "Users..." and then "Customers"
or...
... use the "Quick Add" link in
the pricing application.
I have a Lear 25 that is chartered out for passenger use during the day and is used for an occasional light freight charter, usually at night. My passenger clients and most brokers want to be quoted and billed on an hourly basis (which is how this airplane is set up) but the cargo folks want me to use a mileage rate. Can MachNumber do that? (11-23-06)
You will then find that this aircraft will now be available to you in both the "New Hourly Trip" and "New Mileage Trip" parts of the trip quoting applications.
The Feds want to look at our Flight Time & Duty records. Can we let them into our MachNumber account without showing them everything (like how much we charge)? (10-29-06) Yep. MachNumber was built with this specifically in mind. Select the top menu item "Users" and click on "Regulators."
When you get here, click on the "Add" link.
Create and save this new user in the pop-up. Then give them login permissions by clicking on the "EDIT" link.
We are a small 135 operation and I need to have one of my line
pilots permitted to price
From the menu item: Admin | Pilots (Active) find your guy in the pick list and select "EDIT" (on the right) to amend his privileges in the pop-up window. Click a check mark next to the Price Trips item and he'll have access to the trip pricing application on his next login.
I want to
let my customer in to see trip charges and block times. When I tested their
access I could only see part
From the customer list, find your client "Amend your user's permissions (EDIT item on the right of the pick list)
From the pop-up editor:
Click a check mark into the "View Operational Information" box and your customer will be able to see actual (not billing) itinerary and Out-Off-On-In times straight from the debrief table in your database.
How can I change the block speed decrements? The block-to-block part of the itinerary display shows block times somewhat longer than we normally experience. The airports we fly to are in the boondocks so we have very little taxi time and few ATC issues. We fly Cessna 402s. (5-26-07)
Thanks for choosing MachNumber!
